-WWE Raw on July 20 averaged an abysmal 1.628 million viewers despite coming off of an eventful — albeit creatively maligned — Extreme Rules pay-per-view. The Randy Orton vs. Big Show main event quarter rating did a historic low as well.
–Update 7/22/20: Chris Jericho has postponed his annual Rock & Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise to Oct. 2021.

-WWE provided an update on Rey Mysterio’s EYEBALL after losing the horrific Eye for Eye match to Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules:
“After the sickening conclusion of the Eye for an Eye Match, Charly Caruso provided an update on the condition of Rey Mysterio. Mysterio was rushed to a local medical facility to be treated for a potential globe luxation. Medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not severed and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest of the head, there’s a chance Mysterio can maintain his vision.”
WWE Raw 7-20-20 Highlights and Results
No Kevin Owens on this show for some reason.
Seth Rollins defeats Aleister Black and beats him down with Buddy Murphy. Black shouldn’t be losing right now as a star on the rise, but such is life in WWE.
Shelton Benjamin wins WWE 24/7 Championship from R-Truth, joins “The Hurt Business” stable with Bobby Lashley and new United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter. Great to see WWE using the historically underrated Benjamin in a relevant manner again. We’ll see how long this lasts.
The returning Mustafa Ali, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander defeated WWE U.S. Champion MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin. This was Ali’s first TV match since Dec. 2019. Inexcusable to have a great talent and company ambassador out that long.
WWE legend Christian discusses Randy Orton putting him on the shelf and Edge’s comeback. Happy to see Christian on TV anytime, but the Bruce Prichard Era of Monday Night Raw sure is relying on older stars these days.
Ruby Riott defeated Peyton Royce. No Billie Kay this week. Was pleasantly surprised to see Riott finally get a win. Hell, even Riott looked shocked!
WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits – Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford defeated Andrade and Angel Garza (with Zelina Vega) in a non-title match. This was good, but the booking didn’t make much sense. So Andrade and Garza lose the non-title match while the Street Profits remain without challengers? Backstage, Zelina Vega chewed out both men, only for them to tease splitting with her. Do not break this stable up!
Stephanie McMahon announces Asuka vs. Sasha Banks for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship next week. Banks is not officially recognized as Raw Women’s Champion.
Kairi Sane defeated SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in a non-title match. This is Sane’s final set of Raw tapings before her contract expires. Wishing Kairi the very best in whatever is next for her!
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will choose the stipulation for a championship rematch vs. Dolph Ziggler. WWE confirmed the unnecessary McIntyre vs. Ziggler rematch with take place next week.
Unsanctioned Match: Randy Orton defeated Big Show. Orton punted Show into oblivion as Raw went off the air!
