-Former WWE wrestler Rusev (Miroslav Barnyashev) confirms he is COVID-19 positive via his official YouTube channel. To make matters worse, his father-in-law and mother-in-law (CJ “Lana” Perry’s parents) have also tested positive. Lana’s mother is currently hospitalized. Best wishes to the Barnyashev and Perry Families during this awful time.

-EVIL shocked the Japanese wrestling world by defeated former Los Ingobernables de Japon partner Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental championships at NJPW’s Dominion event. EVIL won the New Japan Cup and joined the Bullet Club just before Dominion, turning on Naito and changing his look and entrance overnight. EVIL didn’t get the job done alone, as he had help from Gedo and the legend Dick Togo (who turned out to be a Bushi imposter). EVIL is now a TRIPLE champion, holding the Heavyweight, IC, and NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Titles simultaneously. Fun fact: EVIL is the real life husband of current WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.

Dominion featured over 3,000 fans at Osaka-jo Hall — roughly 30-percent capacity of the venue. It’s a risky move for any promotion in the world, but Japan has handled the COVID-19 pandemic better than many countries with its citizens actually willing to mask up for the greater good. Let’s hope there’s no outbreaks and complications coming out of this event.

• Los Ingobernables de Japon (Sanada, Hiromu Takahashi, and Bushi) defeated Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) and Yota Tsuji
• Suzuki-Gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado, and Douki) defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Master Wato, and Yuya Uemura
• Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori with Gedo) defeated Chaos (Kazuchika Okada and Hirooki Goto)
• Shingo Takagi (c) defeated Sho to retain the NJPW NEVER Openweight Championship
• Dangerous Tekkers (Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.) defeated Golden Ace (Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi) to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship, This is ZSJ’s first NJPW championship victory.
• EVIL defeated Tetsuya Naito (c) to win the IWGP Heavyweight and IC Titles.

-Congratulations to Keith Lee who defeated Adam Cole on Wednesday’s Great American Bash Night 2 to win the WWE NXT Championship and become a double champ. It took long enough, but Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE brass are finally making the most out of Lee’s immense talent. It looks like Karrion Kross could be next in line for “Limitless Lee,” while Cole and The Undisputed ERA hint at being main roster bound.
