WWE Raw – June 8, 2020 – WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL

Top 10 WWE Raw 6-8-20 Moments

Broadcast Notes: Commentators were Byron Saxton, Samoa Joe, Tom Phillips. NXT wrestlers were in the crowd.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka and Charlotte Flair defeated The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley in a non-title match. Asuka tapped out Kay with the Asuka Lock.

Rey Mysterio threatens revenge on Seth Rollins. No Rollins vs. Mysterio match at WWE Backlash. Stay tuned.

Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo defeated Murphy and Austin Theory. Rollins and friends attacked Black and Carrillo after the match.

Randy Orton vows to beat Edge at WWE Backlash. Will Edge vs. Orton live up to the hype?

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) ended in a 5-5 tie in a Decathlon. The wackiness continues.

Andrade defeated Angel Garza and Kevin Owens to earn a United States Championship Match vs. Apollo Crews at WWE Backlash. Zelina Vega was not happy to see Garza get pinned.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle predicts Randy Orton vs. Edge.

Bobby Lashley and MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) defeated The Viking Raiders. The Street Profits and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre got involved to save the Viking Raiders. McIntyre Claymore kicked Lashley and sent him packing… for now.

Charlotte Flair defeated WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka in a non-title match with the help of Nia Jax. Makes no sense to have Asuka lose right before her match with Jax at Backlash, but WWE seems intent on protecting Flair at all costs — to the detriment of Raw and NXT.

WWE Backlash 2020 takes place Sunday, June 14 at the empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL and airs live on WWE Network.

Current WWE Backlash 2020 Card:

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley (with Montel Vontavious Porter aka MVP). This is Lashley’s first WWE Championship match since his loss to John Cena at Great American Bash on July 22, 2007.

Edge vs. Randy Orton in a straight wrestling match with no gimmicks and stipulations.

WWE is hyping Edge vs. Orton of all matches as potentially the GREATEST MATCH OF ALL TIME. This could certainly be great given who is involved, but GREATEST MATCH EVER? In front of NO FANS who are a key element of wrestling? Strange marketing…

2-on-1 Handicap Match for WWE Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs. The Miz and John Morrison

WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax

WWE United States Championship: Apollo Crews (c) vs. Andrade (with Zelina Vega)

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Sasha Banks and Bayley (c) vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. The IIconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay)
