UFC Fight Island 3: Whittaker vs. Till Main Card Results

Middleweight Five Round Main Event: Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (20-5 MMA, 12-3 UFC) def. Darren Till (18-2-1 MMA, 6-3-1 UFC) via unanimous decision (48-47 across the board)

Light Heavyweights: Former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Shogun Rua (27-11-1 MMA, 7-6 UFC) def. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (23-10 MMA, 10-10-1 UFC) via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28). Lil Nog loses to his rival Shogun for a third time, but goes out in spectacular fashion in a violent, entertaining fight — at 44 years young!

Heavyweights: Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (24-9-1 MMA, 12-6 UFC) def. Alexander Gustafsson (18-7 MMA, 10-7 UFC) via submission (armbar) – Round 1, 2:30. Tough heavyweight debut for the returning Gustafsson. The heavyweight Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend does it again a decade after his iconic submission win over Fedor Emelianenko. Not bad for 42 years old.

Welterweights: Khamzat Chimaev (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) def. Rhys McKee (10-3-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 3:09. Chimaev gets his second win in TEN DAYS — the fastest turnaround time with back-to-back victories in UFC history! Chimaev is absolutely no joke and off to an amazing start to his MMA career. It sound cliche, but this was a Khabib Nurmagomedov esque performance if there ever was one.

Herbert held his own until getting caught. Ridiculously late stoppage by referee Herb Dean, who was chastised by commentator Dan Hardy after the fight.
