About This Sports Courier Podcast Episode 62: TSC News editor Fred Richani discusses the ridiculously large amount of sexual harassment allegations, leveled by at least 15 women against the Washington Redskins organization per The Washington Post’s damning report.
According to the WaPo report, the women allege Washington NFL team owner Daniel Snyder fostered an abusive, hostile work environment on his watch from 2006 to 2019. The alleged victims accused the following Washington employees of sexual harassment and verbal abuse:
The Washington Post interviewed more than 40 current and former employees and reviewed text messages, as well as internal documents, for this report. Needless to say, Snyder not only needs to answer for these allegations, but be banned from the NFL.
Will the NFL force Snyder to sell the team? Did the NFL know about these allegations that range from 2006-2019? And is the NFL willingly to implement proper workplace training, human resource systems, and independently audit every organization? We’ll find out soon enough, but don’t think is the last we’ll hear about misconduct from Snyder’s organization…
