All Elite Wrestling star Kris Statlander confirms she recently suffered a torn ACL, as originally reported by PWInsider. Statlander posted the following message on Twitter:
Since the news is out. I told you Iβd dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL. Yes I need surgery. Yes Iβll be out of the ring for a while. Iβll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can. @AEWrestling π½π

Torn ACL recovery time can be six to nine months, which will put Statlander out until 2021. Statlander has been impressive since debuting in AEW in 2020 and is one of the fastest rising stars in the company.
We wish Statlander a healthy and speedy recovery. Statlander’s AEW colleagues spoke highly following the injury announcement via Twitter:

Kris Statlander is a force! Incredibly skilled. Thereβs never a good time for an injury, but she wonβt be down for too long. https://t.co/YaikWbxgNe
