UFC 265: Lewis vs. Gane for the unnecessary interim heavyweight championship takes place Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX and airs live on ESPN Plus PPV.

UFC actually opened the show with a video of Dana White claiming the actual heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou “doesn’t want to fight.” More embarrassing, scummy behavior from the most exploitative promoter not named Vince McMahon.

Interim Heavyweight Championship Main Event (Five Rounds): Ciryl Gane def. hometown hero Derrick Lewis via third round TKO. Huge ovation of Lewis as expected, but it was absolutely completed domination for the now 10-0 Gane and NEW INTERIM HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
